Rotary Foundation & Polio Donations:
New Goal amounts- Foundation Annual Fund: $2,750 (Average of only $110 per member)
Polio: $950 (Average of only $38 per member)
Last week: Signup Sheets were distributed for our Saline Co. Fair projects. Signup participation was excellent but we still need additional help on all four morning recycling efforts at Tuxedo Park. These are probably our best “bonding” functions. Second only to Hwy Cleanup!
I still need Committee Preference surveys back from a few members. Please try to get those to me by the end of this week so I can designate which members are in which committees.
Our Arbor Project grant was approved and we have a top notch design team working on the specifics. We’ll start planning the construction of the project in late August/early September.
Due to a scheduling conflict, our July 11th evening meeting will be held at the Perry Campus Center on the Doane Campus. Thanks to Jim F. for making those arrangements.
Fun Facts: Kearney, Nebraska is located exactly between Boston and San Francisco. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln weight room is the largest in the country. It covers three-fourths of an acre. The largest porch swing in the world is located in Hebron, Nebraska and it can sit 25 adults.
This week’s drawing starts at $124.00! Jack T. won the drawing (currently under investigation) and donated $8 to both Polio and Foundation. The Queen is still safe.
