Last week, Mayor Dave Bauer spoke to us about the LB840 grant that's up for continuation.  Registered voters should have the ballot, and it needs to be either mailed or dropped off to the county courthouse in Wilber by 5:00pm November 4th to count.  Dave spoke on the good it has brought to Crete and the organizations who have used the funds before (including Rotary and the park project!)  

 

Next week is the Grocery Grab drawing!  Members are invited to meet at 9th Street by 7:30am to participate in the drawing.  Please come to have breakfast before work, and learn who will be our winner!  Tickets need to be turned into Jim Johnson by Monday, October 27th.  Please coordinate a drop off with him so all tickets sold are in the drawing.

 

The Grocery Grab is on November 8th at 7:45am.  Please come to cheer on our winner and support the end of our largest fundraiser!!

 

In November, our meetings will be on November 12th at Doane where we will hear about the Clifton Strengthsfinders.  If you have taken the assessment before and know your strengths, please bring them.  If not, that's ok!  Just come and learn more about the test.  Our second meeting of the month will be on November 19th also at Doane.  We will hear about the Rotary Foundation as it is Foundation Month.  

 

Planning is underway for our Annual Christmas Party!  Please save the date for Thursday, December 18th from 5:30-8:30pm.  This year it'll be held at the Crete Carrier room in the Library.  More details will be coming out soon!
