Last Week- We had 15 members attend our Wednesday evening meeting. We welcomed our District Governor, Tom Cardwell, who was making his annual visit. He spoke to the club for about 40 minutes on many topics but especially he focused on what District goals he would like us to consider pursuing. Tom gave the club a banner with this year's RI logo. And we gave him a Crete Rotary Club T-shirt! Karen Drevo won the drawing and donated $10 to our dictionary fund. The pot grows to $218 with no end in sight! Jim Fahrnbruch handed out individual Foundation giving statements so each member has a record of their giving so far this year. Jenn and Karen successfully manned the GGrab ticiket sales table in front of Foodmart on Saturday morning. Tom Parker got more of the Community Garden Arbor constructed and it is looking very good. Weather permitting we will see if we can schedule another club work event at the Garden in the next week or two. An email update will follow. This Week- We will meet on Tuesday at noon for a regular meeting. Our program will be a representative from the State Attorney's office who will visit with us about ID theft and other scams. It should be quite interesting. Janelle, Jenn, Bob, Jack T, Cody, and Jim F. have sign up to sell GGrab tickets Saturday (Nov. 11th) morning. We need a couple of more members to sign up for the Saturday, Nov. 18th ticket sales effort.
