November 4 – Regular meeting at Doane.  Representatives from Tabitha will describe progress on construction of the new “small houses” for skilled nursing care.

November 11 – Regular meeting at Doane.  Mary Garrison will lead a presentation about the Rotary Foundation.

November 18 – Regular meeting at Doane.  We will have a program on polio, including several polio survivors.

November 25 – No meeting.  Happy Thanksgiving

Drawing:
Barbara Herzog won the drawing and designated the contribution portion for PolioPlus.  She did not win the accumulated pot.

 

Picnic Table Project:
We have now poured concrete pads for all of the tables, including six at the Youth Cabin.  We have placed four tables at Rotary Park and two at the dog park.  Thanks to everyone who has participated in this project.

It appears that we will have about $500 left after all expenses have been paid.  John will check with the District to see if we can add to the project, e.g., make two more tables and place them near the new fountain in City Park.

 

Grocery Grab:
The tickets are here!  Please pick up your tickets to sell from Chris Duntz at the Edward Jones office on Highway 33.  Remember that we are asking each member to either sell or purchase at least two books (10 tickets).

NOTE:  Chris cannot take money for the tickets at her office.  Please plan to bring money to a Wednesday meeting or deliver it to Jim Johnson, Jim Fahrnbruch, or John Lothrop.

If you want an opportunity to sell tickets, Peter Clarke has said that we can sell in front of Food Mart.  Peter suggested that Friday afternoons and Saturdays are the busiest shopping times. 

John Lothrop has posters that we can use when selling tickets.  Contact John if you want to use them.  The posters are shown below.  One is a generic version that can be used from year to year.  A matching poster in Spanish has also been printed.  The second contains specific details for the 2015 Grocery Grab and is bi-lingual.  Flyers will be available to members to distribute.

Judy Harms and John Lothrop volunteered to sell tickets at the Doane football game on Saturday, October 31.
