Reminder:  Go to Heath’s Sport Shop and check out the Rotary Polos.  Place your order as soon as possible.

This week:  Paul Heath of Heath’s Sport Shop will be showing us his business.  Paul will show us the making of Crete Rotary Polos.

Last Week we welcomed Scott Bartels, 17-year director of SCAT (Saline County Area Transit).  He prepared a very informative presentation about some misconceptions of SCAT and services they provide.  He wanted to make everyone aware that anyone can ride the bus--any age or ability is welcomed.  Previously, the transport focused on elderly and disabled, but not anymore.  Anyone can ride!  SCAT is funded in 3 parts: through federal, state, and local budgets.  The routes for the transport include: Fairbury and Beatrice twice a month for banking, shopping, appointments, etc.  Geneva daily to transport special needs students to a school in the town.  And Lincoln daily with advance notice.  The trip to Lincoln is one fare no matter how many stops you need them to make, but it is an all-day trip.  Most recently, they started a new service in Wilber--1/2 day per week to take residents to places in Wilber.  If you have any other questions, you can call the office at: (402) 433-4511

Drawing:  Ron Benson won the draw, but avoided the Queen of Spades.  He donated $14.00 to Polio!  This week the accumulated pot will start at $33.00.

The Highway Clean Up is rescheduled for Wednesday, April 5 at 5:00 pm.  Good weather we hope!
