Last Week- We got all of our dictionaries delivered to the 3rd graders on Monday and Tuesday and the kids and teachers seemed very excited to receive them! Thanks to all who helped. Our Foundation Chair Jim F. gave a quick update on our Foundation giving to date. In order to meet our club goal we need each member to donate at least $110.

At our Wednesday evening meeting we reviewed our tentative Grocery Grab dates: Drawing winner will "grab" their groceries on Saturday December 9th at 7:45am at Crete Foodmart. We will draw the winning ticket at our November 29th meeting. We will have the new tickets printed and ready for sale by all members by October 4th. As in the past, each member will be responsible for selling 2 books of tickets (total of 20) and hopefully more. As everyone knows, the Grocery Grab event is our club's primary fundraising activity for the year and funds all of the good works we do, such as college scholarships, dictionaries, grant projects, etc.

Our Community Garden Arbor project continues to come together and we have submitted design plans to the city and they have been approved. We will be looking to plan a group work session at he Gardens in October with more specifics coming.

Finally, Jim J. won the drawing and donated $10 to our Polio fund. The Queen of Spades continues her elusiveness and next week's pot is $184+!

This Week- Hope to see everyone at our regular meeting on Tuesday noon at TBH. Really looking forward to our presenter, Judy Harms, and her experience thus far as a mother of a first year cadet at The Air Force Academy. See you there!
