Rotary scholarship winners for this year were announced last week. Four seniors will receive $750.00 each for their first year of college. The winners are: Ana Perez-Mendes (PALS), Daniel Braunberger, Ethan Sherman and Ayla Tschetter. We have invited these students to meet with us at our May 17 meeting.
RYLA students Danielle Blackledge and Paulina Juarez-Gonzalez have also been invited to the May 17 meeting. They will share their experiences at this year’s RYLA workshop.
Drawing: Jack Thompson won the draw of $6.00, but she didn’t find the Queen of spades. Jack donated $6.00 to Polio. Our pot starts this week at $87.00!

Rotary Foundation Grant: We decided to pursue a grant to build an arbor entrance to the Community Garden. Jack Thompson is working on ideas for the arbor and costs. The grant application needs to be submitted by May 31.
Rotary Foundation Donations: This week we received a donation of $100.00 from Lorene Horky for PolioPlus. Lorene’s mother (Helen Prokop) “got polio in August of 1952 and paralyzed from the waist down till she passed away two years ago.” Our contributions so far this year are: Annual Fund $1339 (Goal = $2500) Polio $621 (Goal = $875).
The CAMC Picnic has been cancelled! A new event will be planned for later in the year.
