Foundation Giving:
The Crete Rotary Club’s giving to The Rotary Foundation to date is $2,447 toward our goal of $2,500 ($100 per Rotarian). We are 98% toward our goal.
NEWS FLASH: At the meeting, $53 was donated for the Foundation, thus we have met one of our fundraising goals. The other is to have every Rotarian make a gift.
Our giving for End Polio Now is $847 or 97% of our goal of $875 ($35 per Rotarian).
New Business:
- RYLA and scholarships. Alec reported that we have two good applicants for RYLA in April. We have also received a number of applications for the Rotary Scholarships. It was noted that children of Crete Rotarians are not eligible for the scholarships but are eligible to participate in RYLA.
- Crete Chamber of Commerce. We agreed to apply for non-profit membership in the Crete Chamber of Commerce at a cost of $90/year. Jim Johnson will follow up with Dan McElravy at the Chamber.
