- NO MEETING November 27th. Enjoy your family this Thanksgiving.
- December 8th is the concession stand fundraiser at Tuxedo Park. We'll need all hands on deck to help serve. A sign up sheet will be sent shortly to sign up for a shift.
- December 11th meeting will be at Doane University and we'll go over the survey results.
- December 18th is the annual Christmas Party. It will be held at Doane again. Details are still being finalized, but members can expect to pay roughly $30 for an adult meal and $10 for a kid's meal.
And with those details out of the way, let's move to our speaker last week: member, Paul Larsen: On Wednesday, member Paul Larsen shared his history with us and how he’s always embodied Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self” even before he was a member. From his service as a meteorologist in the US Air Force, a radio signal operator, chef, and Supply Sergeant in the US Army, to his service with those incarcerated in Lancaster County as a Officer, Corporal, Case Worker, and Case Manager. After 25 years in the military, and 10 years with the Nebraska Department of Corrections, he moved to Crete and started his own food truck business: Crepe Café. Continuing the theme of service, he’s serving his own crepe creations to patrons. He stated it was always a dream to own his own business, and he’s doing just that! Thank you for sharing your life and history with us, Paul, but more importantly thank you for your service to our country.
