The Four-Way Test
Of the things we think, say or do:
1.  Is it the TRUTH?
2.  Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3.  Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4.  Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Crete Rotary’s first noon meeting Thursday, August 11, 2016:  Dr. Michael Waters, Supt. of Schools, was our speaker.  He is an eight year Rotarian from Cimarron, KS.  Mike and his wife have 3 children.  He updated us on the growth of the school system, ongoing construction projects, and that test scores were above the state average.  We had great attendance; 14 members and 5 guests.  Thanks go to Judy Harms for the sack lunches.  Geoff gave a brief report on the outstanding speakers at the District Conference.  He also brought home two awards presented to our club at the Conference.  We received the Presidential Citation and the #10 club, out of 45, in the district.  Great Job!

For sale to Rotarians:  A cute small roll-top desk that Ann Howard is donating to Rotary.  We are asking $250.00 for the desk.  It is on display at Tom Sorensen’s office.  Next week we will open it up to non-Rotarians.  First come, First buys.

Drawing:    Barb Herzog won $10 in the draw.  She donated it and $9 to The Rotary Foundation.  Barb missed out on a chance to win $110.00!  Maybe we will have a winner this week!

Youth Cabin Grant Project:  Tom Parker is contacting Lincoln Custom Masonry about getting started on our Grant Project.  We should be starting soon.
