Last Week- We have a Grocery Grab Grand Prize winner!! Josh Boggs name was drawn from 814 tickets at half time of the Doane Women's Basketball team's game against Midland last Wednesday evening. Josh is a former Doane student, football player and coach. Special Honorary Rotary member Mark Barry drew the winning ticket and Cody Vance did a great job of announcing the draw. Mark sold roughly 8 books of tickets on our behalf. Janelle shot video of the drawing and streamed it immediately on our Rotary Facebook page. When I called Josh about 15 minutes after the drawing, he had already been contacted by several friends who saw the video on Facebook! Work also continued on our Arbor project with Tom P finishing construction of the entrance gate and a small gang of members got the gate stained. We have had remarkably mild weather to help us get this project near completion. This Week- We will have a regular meeting this Wednesday evening at TBH @ 5:30. Dulce Castenada with the City of Crete will be our speaker. We will also look at plans for our Christmas Party on Wednesday, December 20th at 6pm. The party will be open to all members and their families. Please make plans to attend! On Saturday, December 9th we will host the Grocery Grab "shopping spree" at Crete Foodmart at 7:45 am. Please plan to attend to help make it a smooth event and to cheer on Josh, the Grand Prize winner. We will also draw the winners of the gift certificates as soon as Josh is done.
