Members met Wednesday evening, June 26, at The Brew House to thank outgoing Club President Janelle Snodgrass for her year of service to the club and pass the gavel to incoming 2019-2020 Club President Jenn Lampila. Janelle received several rounds of congratulations for her successful leadership in 2018-2019 and her commitment to Crete Rotary is very much appreciated. She expressed her thanks to all club members for their work in the past year and answering the call for the many projects to which the the club contributed. Jenn also thanked club members for their support and gave a few previews to the upcoming club year. On July 2 at a noon meeting, Nicole Stoner, a Gage County UNL Extension Educator and certified arborist, will give information about the Emerald Ash Borer. On July 10, "Shelter Me Nebraska," a non-profit organization that shelters pets of domestic abuse victims until they are reunited will present. Saline County Fair events on July 18 will have volunteer opportunities for members. The week after we will not meet and we will end the month with a meeting on July 30. |
