The Queen has been found! Jenn Lampila, our newest member, on her first attempt at finding the Queen of spades in our weekly drawing, DID IT! Jenn won $10.00 for having the drawn ticket and $270.00 for drawing the Queen of Spades. There were 19 cards left in the deck. Judy Harms was the last winner of the Pot. Judy found the queen on February 10 of last year for a $148.00 prize. That was almost a year to the day of Jenn’s win. This week the Pot starts at $0.00.
Kayleigh Schadwinkel of the Crete Chamber joined us, last week to share what's in store for 2017. Community outreach will be the focus this year. Some events already planned is a community garage sale on June 3rd and the Saline Solar Shadow on August 21st, but a weekend full of activities before that. Of course the third annual Great Pumpkin Festival is included the first full weekend in October.
For Chamber members and businesses, she holds Tech Tuesday events to show businesses not only various beneficial topics on technology, but universal tactics and skills they can use to enhance their business.
One upcoming event is a ribbon cutting next Thursday at the Brew House. It will be at 10 am. If you'd like to keep up-to-date with Chamber events, send an email the chamber at
cretechamber@gmail.com requesting a bi-weekly newsletter.
