This week is Highway Cleanup. Lots of members helping will mean less work for all!! There is rain in the forecast. If we cannot pickup on account of rain, we will eat at Elle’s instead!
Thanks to all the members that volunteered for the Elementary Carnival. We have a full slate. 5:45 – 7:15 pm: Judy Harms, Barb Herzog, Jack and Mary Garrison and Janelle Snodgrass. 7:00 – 8:30 pm: Jack Thompson, Tom and Vicki Sorensen and Jenn Lampila.
Last Week Paul and Shari Heath, and Izzi, explained the shirt printing business. They do a lot of shirts locally, but also have business from other states. Paul demonstrated the screen printing operation. After designing the screens for the t-shirts, it takes just a few minutes to put the design on a t-shirt.
Shari showed us the automated embroidering process. Six sewing machines work together to put the same design on six polos at the same time. It was quite fascinating watching the machines work together.
Izzi spent most of her time keeping Tom Sorensen in line!
Drawing: Lucky Jenn Lampila had the winning ticket this week. She netted $8.00 and donated $8.00 to the Rotary Foundation. Our Pot will start at $41.00 at the April 11 meeting.
