On October 4, the Crete Rotary Club assisted with the Great Pumpkin Festival. A club assembly was held October 7, and on October 14 the Crete Rotary Club had a highway cleanup night.
Schedule:
October 21 – Regular meeting at Doane. Max Kathol will talk about his trip to Turkey.
October 28 – (Tentative) Stain picnic table parts. We will meet at Craig Snyder’s garage (west of the car wash, south of Runza) for another staining “party.”
Picnic Table Project:
Rotary park complete. Scout cabin pads are poured. Dog park tables placed. Parts for the next six tables are made and ready for staining. Helping with the forming and pouring of concrete at the scout cabin were Craig, Jack, Geoff, and Jim F. Craig and Tom P. also assembled and delivered three tables.
Grocery Grab:
TICKETS ARE READY!!! You can pick them up from Chris (Edward Jones out by Dollar General and Saline Medical Specialties). You can reach Chris at 826-4719 or 890-3446 if needed.
Teammates Gala:
Chris Duntz has been asked to sponsor a table for the Teammates fundraising Gala to be held on November 20th. Since the Rotary club supports Teammates with a scholarship, it would be good to have some Rotary representation at the Gala. Chris will be donating a "Grocery Grab" theme food basket (including 1 book of raffle tickets) for the silent auction. She islooking for Rotary members (and guests) to join her at the Rotary table. The specifics of the event are below.
