Report on District Training

Last week was the Family Picnic at the Youth Cabin.  The weather was rainy, but we had a good time meeting inside the cabin!  There was plenty of rock on the road so that we didn’t get muddy.  Walmart provided the food (thanks, Stephanie), Bob and Jill fixed and brought Sloppy Joes, and Janelle organized the food line –again thanks to all!

We had several Youth Cabin board members present.  Tom P. and Craig S. explained all the improvements that had been done to the cabin.  Thanks to them, the cabin and activities are making a comeback.  The current project is to repair and shingle the roof.

This week our program will be reporting on the District Training that Jack T., Janelle and I went to in Lincoln on March 22.

Happy Anniversary Vicky Johnson (5/3)!

Rotary Foundation Grant:  We decided to pursue a grant to build an arbor entrance to the Community Garden.  Jack Thompson is working on ideas for the arbor and costs. The grant application needs to be submitted by May 31.
