Last week, Foundation and Polio chair, Jack Thompson gave us some information about the Foundation and gave us an update on where we are this year. The Foundation is divided up into 3 parts: The Annual Fund, Polio Plus, and the Endowment Fund. The Annual Fund contributions are invested for 3 years and then come back to the clubs to support district grants. Polio Plus helps to eradicate polio, and the Endowment fund is for those who want to gift funds in their will or bequest funds. Total year to date, we've given $446 of our $1600 goal to the Annual Fund, and $186 of $750 of the Polio Plus. We do have some work to do, so if you haven't contributed yet, please do so! Thank you, Jack for the informative presentation! Coming up we have a meeting on December 10th, and our annual Christmas Party on December 18th! Details are being finalized for the Christmas Party and an RSVP will be coming out shortly. Please be looking in your emails because we will need a response quickly. Looking ahead to the next calendar year, March 21st is the incoming President's training in La Vista. If you're interested in serving as President next year, please reach out to Shay. The next week is Club Officer training through zoom. Registration for both is available now through the district website.
