Last week the club held a special meeting in which members were encouraged to bring a guest. We were blessed to have four guest attend. It was a great opportunity for them to meet our membership and find out a little bit about Rotary and projects our club is involved in with both local and global benefit. We were treated to a "pizza party" and after covering some club business, we engaged in some group games that were great entertainment. Marilea Thiem organized the games and did a great job! This week on Wednesday morning we will draw our "Grand Prize" winning ticket in our annual Grocery Grab fundraising event. The drawing will take place at 9th Street Grill in Crete at 7:30 am. Members are encouraged to attend and lend their support. And maybe grab a quick cup of coffee and/or breakfast! Members are reminded to be sure to turn in their sold ticket stubs and money to Jim Johnson prior to Wednesday's drawing. The lucky winner will then have the opportunity on the morning of Saturday, November 11th, to have their 5 minute "shopping spree" at Crete FoodMart. Several members braved chilly weather to sell tickets outside of FoodMart on Saturday morning!
