Last Week- President -Elect Janelle presided over our Tuesday noon meeting at TBH. She presented what the club goals will be for the coming Rotary year. The goals were divided into three categories: Rotary International, District 5650, and Crete Rotary. She also discussed her desire to reorganize our club committees by having three standing committees and then finding member volunteers to head up individual projects. Members were asked for input on all of the items discussed. All members should have received an email survey (thru surveymonkey) requesting your committee assignment preferences. Please be sure to respond!

 

Jim F. won the drawing and donated $6 to our polio fund. He graciously failed to draw the Queen so the pot grows!

 

Due to her increased job responsibilities, Mariana has reluctantly decided to leave the club. She expressed her thanks to the members and to the club for all the worthwhile projects completed and causes supported. I know we all want to thank Mariana for her time and efforts with the club and hope she can rejoin us in the future.

 

The club sent flowers and a Get Well card to Gunther Tiebel who is recovering from a recent stroke at Bryan West Hospital. A recent update from Tom P. is that he is getting better but has a long road to go. Gunther was a long time Rotary member and current "Honorary" member.

 

 

This Week- We will hold our annual "Pass The Gavel" meeting on Wednesday evening at TBH.  Please plan to attend to welcome our incoming president Janelle Snodgrass. We will also have a chance to further discuss the new committee structure and results of Janelle's survey. See you there!
