Program: Web Site Tutorial and Account Access
The program was a tutorial by Alec Engebretson and John Lothrop to explain how to navigate the Crete Rotary home page (
www.creterotary.org) and how each Rotarian can log into his/her personal account. We met in a classroom at Doane so that everyone could get “hands-on” experience.
Alec started the presentation with an explanation of the service we are using to host our web site, i.e., ClubRunner. It is the same software platform is used by Rotary District 5650.
John showed people how to log into their personal Crete Rotary account. Note that the Crete Rotary and District 5650 databases are synchronized, so the same account login and password work for both sites. After members logged into their accounts, John showed us how to edit our personal profiles.
Treasurer’s Report:
Checking Account Balance - $1,729.79
Scholarship Account Balance - $3,252.64
Paid to Crete Schools Trust 5/6/15 - $3,000.00
Grant Account Balance - $89.50
(If our grant proposal is accepted by the district, we will need $1,500 in this account.)
Club dues for July-December 2015 are $65 and are due on July 1. Our local dues include Rotary International dues (approximately $855 twice per year, due on August 1) and District 5650 dues (approximately $1,100 once per year, due in September).
Funding Request for Cemetery Flag Poles:
The Crete Cemetery Board requested a donation for two new flag poles which have been purchased for the Blue River Cemetery and the Crete Community Cemetery (south of town). The cost of each flag pole is between $2800 and $3000. The Cemetery Board has begun contacting Crete community organizations and individual community members for donations. The consensus at our meeting was to not provide funding from the Club but to forward the information to members to make individual contributions. If you are interested, donations can be made payable to:
