Program:

Ten members of the English faculty at the Agricultural University of Hebei (AUH) in China shared information about their country and culture.  They are in Crete as part of a partnership with Doane College that has provided exchange and study opportunities for students and faculty from both two institutions .  Dr. Dick Dudley and Dr. Rod Diercks accompanied the faculty members.

Also in attendance was Li Zhang and her daughter. She is a Chinese engineering professor, Li Zhang, who is at Doane for a 6 month sabbatical.  Her background is in electrical engineering and digital signal processing.  She is interested in learning more about the American higher education teaching environment.

The Crete Rotary Club received a thank you from the Crete Area Medical Center for helping with the Community Picnic this past spring.
Members of Crete Rotary Club attend Saltdogs game
Several Lincoln area clubs went together to sponsor attendance at the Lincoln Salt Dogs game on August 1 as a fundraiser for efforts to End Polio Now.  For every $16 ticket sold, the Salt Dogs contributed $8 to End Polio Now.  Members of the Crete Rotary Club were in attendance.
