Last Week- Past President x 2 Jim Fahrnbruch conducted last week's Tuesday noon meeting at TBH. Meeting notes confirm that the club was required to recite the Rotary 4-Way Test which was long overdue. Most members pasted the test. Mary won the weekly drawing and donated $14 to our Foundation fund. The Queen of Spades did not attend the meeting and so the accumulated pot will continue into next year at $256!

Our interactive presentation this week came from Lacey Stewart, Home Instead Senior Care caregiver coordinator for Saline, Seward, and York counties.  She has worked with the company for a year and a half and enjoys her job so much she has no desire to work anywhere else.  Home Instead provides non-medical care to disabled, ill, or senior clients. They can be from any age group, although their specialty is seniors.  The care is covered by some Medicaid benefits and VA benefits if applicable, long term care insurance, if you have a policy, but not other health insurances because they do not provide medical services.
The caregivers provide a wide array of services including companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, transportation for errands, medicine reminders (but cannot give out doses),  grooming, bathing, help getting ready for the day and getting ready for bed, and more!  The caregivers can pick their hours and she pairs the client based on times needed and personalities.  The caregivers go through extensive training to prepare to be a caregiver and participates in ongoing education as they are employed.  She said they are always looking for caregivers so if it sounds like a good fit, please let her know!  Her email address is: lacey@homeinsteadlincoln.com (Story provided by Janelle)

This Week- Be sure to attend our Rotary Christmas Party extravaganza this Wednesday at TBH. The party starts at 6pm and spouses/friends and kids are welcome. Most members have rsvp'd, but if you have not, please do so asap so we have a good count to give to the chef.
We will not officially meet again until January 9th, so let me take this occasion as your humble president to say thank you for helping our club have a great first half of the year and Happy Holidays to all!
