Ten Rotary members and three guests met for a social at Elle's on Main last Wednesday where Chris won the drawing but did not find the Queen. Four cards are left in the card drawing for the next meeting, this Tuesday, Aug. 20, and $349 will be the starting pot with additional ticket sales.

 

Janelle was a special guest, bringing awards the club won at the District Conference last month. Crete Rotary won Best Small Club award and Number 10 out of all clubs in the District. Congratulations to members on this accomplishment and thank you to Janelle for presenting them to the club.

 

On Wednesday, Aug. 28 the ice cream social will be held in City Park. Rotary has reserved the bandstand from 5:30-6:30. There will be a signup sheet at the meeting this week to confirm who will be there as well as ice cream and supplies. Bowls, napkins, cups, spoons, serving utensils, water, lemonade and a cooler with ice will be provided.
