Holiday Greetings! Our regular meeting last Wednesday marked the last meeting of this calendar year and is also the half-way point of our 2023 Rotary year. It has been a great year thus far and we have successfully completed many of our projects and are making good progress in achieving our yearly goals. This Wednesday the club will hold our Christmas party. Thank you to the organizing committee for their efforts and I know it will be a wonderful event. I look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday! Our presenter at the meeting last week was Dr. Kim Jarvis. She is a Professor of History at Doane University and has studied and taught the very complicated history of the Middle East. She helped us understand the long and entangled history of this region with focus on the current conflict between Israel and Hamas. We appreciated her presentation and wished we could have had another hour or two with her! Finally at the meeting we began discussions on considering moving our meetings to a new site. That conversation will continue at our meetings in January. Have a great week and a Merry Christmas!
