Last week was a big week for Crete Rotary! We drew our annual Grocery Grab Grand Prize Winner! Congratulations to John Winkler of Crete who will run through the aisles of Crete Foodmart on November 7th! The ticket was drawn by new police chief, John Pucket. We hope to see all members at 7:45am this Saturday, November 7th! Members worked hard to make the grocery grab a success this year--were on par with previous years! We sold 66 books of tickets, with 720 individual tickets altogether. Our gross income this year is $10,655! THank you all for your hard work making this fundraiser a success! Here are some things to keep on your radar: - The Christmas party is approaching quickly. Stay tuned for the date, I'll be sending out a save the date with communication as things are finalized.
-
- The club would like to put together a float for the Lighted Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 5th. Jenn will lead the project to get a float created, be looking for volunteer opportunities a week or two before then to help.
-
- The park rededication has been rescheduled to spring 2027. We'd like to have some games and Rotary Wheel cookies to commemorate. We may need help planning it, so please look for opportunities to help, there, as well.
-
- The club is looking for some Saturdays in the Spring to participate in either Level 1 or Level 2 of RLI. A number of members participated in Part 1 about a year ago, and it's time for Part 2! Be looking at your calendars to determine which dates are best.
-
- The club would also like to participate in Visioning at the help of the District Visioning Committee next Spring as well. It's a 3-4 hour session that helps members determine short-term and long-term goals and a strategic plan. Please keep your eyes peeled for an opportunity to participate in that.
Our next meeting is on November 11th, and we are looking for a speaker. Please let Chris N. know if you have any ideas for a speaker for that day. Thank you all for being a part of Crete Rotary!
