As Crete Rotary moves forward with in-person meetings and volunteer opportunities, members should do what they feel comfortable with in terms of in-person gatherings and face coverings. We will make efforts to provide enough space for distancing in our meetings and events. We may not meet every week and will also be moving forward with the Grocery Grab and volunteering at the pumpkin festival.

 

Members were able to meet on Aug. 26 for the first time in several months. We discussed rescheduling the Grocery Grab and future meetings. GG tickets will need to be reprinted with a new date and Peter Clarke was consulted on how this would fit with the store's schedule. Tom Parker also gave an update on the district grant project - new audio/video system at VFW (Veterans & Friends).

 

We will meet again this week on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at noon at The Brew House. Sign up will be offered for working an information booth at the pumpkin festival on Sunday, Oct. 4. Shifts will be between 11:30 a.m. -5:00 p.m. This signup will also go out in email form. Other fall planning will be discussed.

 

Peter confirmed Saturday, Nov. 7 would work for the Grocery Grab event, which gives us time to reprint tickets and sell. We will issue new tickets to members and sponsors corresponding to the same numbers they received before. More details to come. Thank you to Jim Johnson for arranging the ticket printing again.
