Fellow Rotarians, Before we get into what is in store for Crete Rotary in May, there is a volunteer opportunity this Friday that is not an official Rotary event. Crete High School seniors will have a lunch before they head to graduation rehearsal. If anyone is available to help set-up, serve, or cleanup a simple lunch of hot dogs, chips, beans, etc., there are spots available from 11am - 12pm and 12 - 1pm this Friday (May 14) at Bethlehem Lutheran Church's fellowship hall. You may also eat lunch while you are helping. Shay is helping to set this up with high school counselor Dawn Draeger. Let Jenn know if you can help on Friday. (jennlampila@gmail.com)
 Crete Rotary members met for highway cleanup on April 28. Thank you to those who were able to make it and to Tom Sorensen for organizing the vest and bags and Jack Thompson for picking them up. Please note the upcoming club events on the left side of the bulletin. We will meet on Tuesday, May 18, at 12 pm, at Veterans and Friends to talk about a grant project and the size/scope of such a project. On Wednesday, May 26, we will help with the Crete Chamber of Commerce pumpkin planting at Old Mill Park at 3rd and Norman. |
