Crete Rotary Club
Crete, Nebraska

Last Week- On Thursday evening the Crete and Lincoln South Rotary Clubs held a "Social" meeting at the Capitol View Winery near Roca. This "First Annual" event was the brain child of Lincoln South President Kay Wunderlich with the first hour being a casual meet and greet and eat. Members from both clubs brought dessert snacks and several glasses/bottles of wine were purchased! In the second hour each club president gave a brief power point presentation describing what their respective club's have accomplish in the first nine months of the Rotary year. We also participated in a "Rotary" trivia game and Kay sent everyone home with a Redbud tree seedling to plant in response to Rotary President Ian Riseley's request that all Rotarians worldwide plant a tree this year. The warm sunny weather enhanced the experience at this beautiful facility.

This Week- You know it must be spring if its time to clean. So let's all meet at the CAMC parking lot at 5pm this Wednesday so we can pick up trash along the highway and spend more quality time with our fellow members. As of now the weather forecast looks good. If that should change I will send out an email by mid-afternoon Wednesday. As we all know it goes much faster the more members that can help. Be sure to wear your "Rotary" shirts! And we will hold an unofficial "Trash Talk" session at Elle's immediately upon completion of our cleanup to share our best trash stories. Have a great week!
