Crete Rotary Club
Crete, Nebraska

Last Wednesday the club executed a very successful Highway Cleanup service project. We had a great member turnout and were able to cover all four zones of our approximately 2-mile stretch of Hwy 33 on the east side of town. There was a forecast for rain and storms, but we managed to complete our task. Thank you to all that helped!

This week we will take on another service project when we gather at the Youth Cabin on Wednesday evening to do a spring cleaning of the grounds around the cabin as well as inside the cabin. When finished we will enjoy a potluck dinner at the cabin. Many members have already signed up to attend and bring a food item. An updated signup sheet with a map/directions to the cabin will be emailed to everyone Monday morning. The email will also include some information on what type of equipment/supplies members can bring. So please look for that email.

Our next regular meeting will be May 10th at the VFW. We have a speaker and several club items to discuss. Primarily we need to see if any new grant project ideas will be offered for consideration. In the next couple of weeks we need to decide what our grant project is going to be so that we can submit our application before the end of May. We also will need two members to attend one of the grant seminars being offered via zoom.

Have a great week!
