Last Week- Biggest turnout of the year so far! 20 members were on hand for our Wednesday evening meeting. Jack Garrison won the weekly drawing and donated $15 to our Polio Fund. And like a broken record... the Queen of Spades was not selected. So the drawing drama continues for at least another week. A sign up sheet for members to help with the Elementary School Book Fair (Feb. 13th and 15th) was distributed and all time slots were filled. Very appreciated! We will also help flip pancakes at the Scout Pancake Feed on Saturday morning February 17th. A sign up sheet will be available at our next meeting. It was announced that the club would make a $250 donation to Crete Cares from our Grocery Grab proceeds.
Our program for the evening was a fun, light hearted and interactive presentation on the art of "cartooning" by Echo Easton. She demonstrated the very elementary methods of drawing simple cartoon characters starting with basic shapes. Blank paper and markers were passed out and all members had the opportunity to create their own cartoon characters. We ended up with a wide variety of drawings and a significant range of quality. Walt Disney will not be hiring soon in Crete. I think Echo's main piece of wisdom is to be creative and have fun. Thanks Echo!

This Week- We will have a regular meeting on Tuesday at noon @ TBH. The program will be provided by the Gold Star Martial Arts Club. And there is rumor of a Paul Harris Fellow recognition presentation. See you there! And bring a guest!
