It's Saline County Fair week which means it's a big week for Crete Rotary. We will participate in our usual volunteer activities this year which start Thursday evening at the Figure 8 Races. We will also recycle aluminum and plastic at the fairgrounds on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. Thanks to all the members who have already signed up to help out! But we still could use a few more as lap counters on Thursday and on recycling morning on Friday and Sunday. I will send out an email on Tuesday to all members with an updated signup sheet.
At the meeting Wednesday, besides reviewing our fair plans, we were pleased and honored to induct our newest member, Amy Hausman! You have undoubtedly seen Amy around Crete and the Saline County area as she writes and reports, and is Editor for the Crete News and Friend Sentinel papers. She has been attending our meetings and service projects for the past several months and is already an asset to the club.
Our next meeting is July 26 at the VFW. We will have several interesting guests: three of our Crete HS scholarship recipients will join us and two administrators with Crete Tabitha, Aubrey Paulson and Robin Allgood will visit with us about new things going on at Tabitha. Be sure to attend!
