Last week's program was a presentation from Crete Public Library Director Joy Stevenson on the new library construction process at 1515 Forest Ave. She shared photos from various viewpoints, creating a virtual tour of the construction process as of Nov. 6 in the 20,000 square foot building. The target opening date for the new facility is in early January. The building includes lots of natural light, adult, teen, and children's reading areas, study/meeting rooms, technology space, drive-up and drop-off window, cafe space, and the community room/storm shelter.

Photos used in the presentation, as well as other information on the building process, are all available on the city's website: https://www.crete.ne.gov/vnews/display.v/SEC/Library%7CNew%20Library%20Building%20Updates

The Nov. 19, noon meeting will host speaker Allison Baird, Doane University senior and Miss Kool-Aid Days, who will talk about her social impact initiative and the Miss America system. Thank you to Shay and Karen for organizing our November meetings.

We will not meet the week of Thanksgiving and will resume for the first December meeting with a program from first-year Doane Women's Basketball Coach, Sheronda Powell.
