McKinley met with several club members after the regular meeting to discuss club goals, district goals and ways in which the district can be a resource to the local club. Mick retired after a 43-year Banking career in 2018 from US Bank in Council Bluffs. After a brief retirement he took a part time position with Clear Title and Abstract, a Title Insurance Company in Omaha and Council Bluffs. He joined Lincoln #14 Rotary Club in 1996 and then joined the Council Bluffs Noon Rotary Club in 2009.
On Thursday, Sept. 19, members helped deliver dictionaries to third graders at Crete Intermediate School. Special thanks to Chris for organizing the dictionary order and Karen for giving a brief introduction to each class. Jack T. and Jim J. handled book cart duties quite well. Dictionaries were also delivered to St. James.This week's meeting is Sept. 24 (Tuesday) at noon when Ron Benson will give a program on his mission trip. We will also discuss a work project for the bridges at the youth cabin as much work has been done by a few members and several tasks can be completed by the club. Signups will also go around for work shifts for the pumpkin festival (Sunday, Oct. 6, 12-5pm).
