This week we had a visit from Craig Snyder, member of CAIDC in Crete, and he presented a check to the club for $5500 to help with the Park Project! Thank you, Craig and the rest of the CAIDC group. Shay also shared pictures of the progress of the park! It's coming along! This was a big week for Rotary!
Chris revealed the grand total of donations for WASH month! As a reminder, she challenged the club to collect 121 pieces of hygiene and sanitation items to donate to Sixpence to commemorate the 121 years of Rotary. Our grand total of items was 272! Way to go, all! Thanks for your generosity!
In addition, some members helped with the Chamber's Easter Egg Hunt by helping with parking! We're happy to report another successful year of safe entering and exiting the event for all with no accidents!

Last but not least, we heard from member Jim Johnson about his recent trip to Guatemala. He partners with Causa Maya and they build houses for citizens of Guatemala. It takes one week to build, but it's a huge upgrade from what they have and the recipients are thrilled. He shared photos of some sight seeing he gets to do on the weekends before and after the build. They got to see the second most beautiful lake in the world in Antigua, and there are three active volcanoes in the area as well. Thank you, Jim, for your willingness to give the Guatemalan people a better house!
